For years I've been frustrated that when I type in a partial name of a process in PeopleSoft process monitor it tells me that (even though I know they are there) it can't find any processes that have run that "begin with" the value that I typed in (as shown below) unless I type in the exact name of a process that has run. Using the % wildcard character doesn't work, nor did anything else seem to...
...but my frustration is now behind me, and hopefully yours is now, too. The Process Name lookup, like many other lookup fields, is dependent on certain key values being set. The trick is to find which one. I wish I'd experimented with this more a lot sooner, because finding the right right key field was actually very easy. The field that first needs to have its value set is the "Type:" field right above the process "Name:" field. As soon as I select, for example, Application Engine as my Type, then the Name lookup field behaves as I expected it would. First the Ajax behavior shows me a dropdown of the values that match my partial search:
Also then, when I click on the Name field's lookup icon, I see a list of matching values in the Lookup dialog.
Problem solved!

This was very helpful, thank you so much for the information. I never thought to enter the Type.
